I love nothing more than shopping for holiday clothes especially on a wet day like today. Just the thought of being in a hot climate and not doing very much apart from lying on a sun lounger with a cocktail or two with a good book is what is carrying me through the days right now! I am so ready for a holiday in the sun and I really need to update my holiday wardrobe so today I am sharing my top holiday picks from Simply Be.
My holiday wardrobe if I’m going on a beach/pool holiday is basically a few pieces of swimwear, a couple of cover up’s and a few dresses and not to forget my sports stuff as I will run if there is an air conditioned gym. I have learnt over the years not to over pack. There was a time I’d come back with a whole suitcase full of clean clothes… I was a terrible packer! Now I think I have mastered the amount for me and the kids and after learning a few tips from Marie Kondo my packing skills are pretty much perfect too!

After burning my head in the Dominican Republic a few years ago I learnt a valuable lesson… never go without a sun hat!
Another lesson I learnt a few years ago is make sure your swimwear is either strapless or has removable straps. I once took all halter neck swimsuits and they were a real pain when trying to avoid strap marks when getting a tan! So everything I take nowadays is similar to this bandeau bikini… No more strap marks!
I can never resist buying a new bag when I go away! I adore this hello sunshine beach bag perfect for carrying my books and suncream as well as all of the kids belongings 😉
I always pack a couple of pairs of flip flops for the day but love a nice pair of wedges for the evening. These Espadrille Wedges are gorgeous!
